North Carolina state high school field hockey tourney hits the semis

They know how to seed ’em out in North Carolina. How else to explain the top four seeds reaching the semifinals of the state high school field hockey tournament? On Friday they’ll play to reach the title game; No.1 seed and undefeated Charlotte Latin School faces off against No. 4 Ravenscroft School; No. 2 Charlotte Country Day School gets No. 3 Durham Academy on the other side of the bracket. The winners play on Saturday for the championship.
